- Raşnov is approx. 105 miles from the capital Bucharest (and approx. 10 miles from the historic town of Brasov). For the moment, this distance could be covered in two and a half hour drive but this time is likely to be cut to less than two hours by 2010 as the area lies only a short distance from the proposed route of the Pan-European Highway which will link Bucharest with Hungary;
